Kyla Johnson is the founder of Right Choice Education, a boutique educational consulting and coaching practice dedicated to helping students and families navigate academic, personal, and life transitions with clarity and confidence.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling with a focus in Higher Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Communications and Training & Development. In addition, she holds certifications in Academic Advising, ADHD Coaching, and Neurodiversity Coaching.

With more than 25 years in education, college admissions, advising, and student development, Kyla brings both professional expertise and real-world perspective to her work. Her background includes serving as a college success instructor, Director of Admissions, academic advisor, career advisor and independent educational consultant.

Today, her work extends beyond traditional college admissions counseling. Through Right Choice Education, she focuses on executive function, decision-making, accountability, and life skills—helping students understand not only what to do next, but how to think, plan, organize, and follow through in today’s rapidly changing world.

Right Choice Education was founded to bridge the gap between what students are expected to manage and what they are actually taught. Kyla’s approach combines structure, strategy, and personalized guidance to support students and families through every stage of the journey.
